Weekly data sheet: Investors deploy into retail, office and residential

Asian, US and European capital sources were all active, picking up French retail, London offices and residential in Germany and Finland.

Crédit Agricole Assurances continues to back French retail. Having invested in 2019 in a JV in five Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield malls valued then at €2 bn, the insurance group this week announced a €485 mln investment into a retail JV with Altarea.

US investor Kennedy Wilson and Singapore’s Suntec both saw value in new or spruced-up London offices, snapping up One Embassy Gardens and the Minster Building respectively.

In the finance market, two more CMBS transactions were launched and a third priced taking the number of securitisations this year so far to nine.
