Ukraine Mipim organiser plans special event

The organiser of what would have been a 100-plus delegation to showcase Ukraine real estate projects at Mipim next week is going ahead with an alternative event for the international business community.

Anna Nestulia says the Stand with Ukraine event will take place on Wednesday, 16 March at 12.30 at stand P-1 G51.

Among the speakers are Remigijus Simasius, mayor of Vilnius; Jacek Jaskowiak, mayor of Poznan; Martins Stakis, mayor of Riga; and Wolfgang Gomernik, CEO of Delta, an Austrian company operating in Ukraine.

Before the Russian invasion, more than 100 real estate players planned to attend the Ukraine stand, including Mayor of Kyiv, Vitaly Klitschko, plus representatives of real estate projects in Kyiv, Ivano-Frakivsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Lutsk.

Nestulia, who is in France with her family, but whose parents and relatives have stayed in Poltava, said; ‘Due to the Russian invasion of the country, the Ukrainian real estate community cannot attend Mipim this year.'

'Instead, they must focus on defending the country, its people, freedom, and independence.’

‘With the support of Mipim and partners, we would like to invite the international business community to attend an event dedicated to Ukraine. We all must stand with the country and its people today and prepare to build back better in the future together.’
