A record-breaking number of new brands will be presented during the upcoming ReDI Fair organised by the Polish Council of Shopping Centres in Warsaw in early June, according to the council's director general Radoslaw Knap.
A significant number of these brands will soon make their way to shopping centres around Central and Eastern Europe, he added. 'I can already disclose that there has been a considerable interest in our market among American retailers and chains of our eastern neighbours.'
The largest retail real estate industry event in CEE, the ReDI fair is set to take place on 7-8 June at the National Stadium in Warsaw. These two days will be a networking opportunity for 1,400 representatives of the retail industry, including nearly 400 retailers.
Last year, the third edition of ReDI attracted more than 1,400 participants, including over 350 retailers and 50 exhibitors, who presented a portfolio of more than 120 shopping centres from Poland and CEE.
ReDI also provides opportunities for developers and retailers to meet with city representatives, offering a range of investment plots and properties for rent in attractive locations. This year, once again, the fair will be accompanied by a conference, including panels exploring the role of retail and services in cities, plus the trends in the development of new retail and food and beverage concepts.
'2016 saw rollouts of 22 new brands. The Polish market is ready for new retailers, and there are plenty of those interested in expanding in Poland,' Knap said. 'The ReDI fair offers them an opportunity to enter the country.'
