Budapest-based real estate developer Trigranit started construction on Thursday of its Bonarka City Center site in the Podgórze district of Krakow, Poland. The new project, on a total area of around 19 hectares, will require an investment of about EUR 500 mln. It will be carried out in three stages, with the first one involving the construction of a retail, service and entertainment center for EUR 300 mln. The following phases will add a high-class office and residential buildings to the site.

The first building will have some 250 retail units and department stores leased to well-known international and national brands, such as Auchan, Leroy Merlin, Cinema City. Completion of the first phase is scheduled for the second half of 2009.
