Syntrus Achmea offloads Dutch resi portfolio for €66m

Dutch asset manager Syntrus Achmea Real Estate and Finance has sold a portfolio of four residential apartment blocks to a private buyer for €66 mln.

The assets comprise 120 one-family residences, 262 multiple family homes and eight commercial properties, with parking, in locations across the Netherlands including Rotterdam, Assen, Sittard and Heerlen.

The sale follows the acquisition two weeks ago of 230 energy-efficient homes in Utrecht on behalf of Dutch pension fund PME and a healthcare property fund.

Kees van Harten, directeur of Capital Value, said: 'Our most recent research has shown that co-operation between institutional and private investors will play a significant role in reducing the shortfall in the current housing market.'
