Segro has acquired a 75,000 m² logistics facility in Oosterhout, the Netherlands from Weerts Group.
The investment sum was not disclosed, but information filed with the Dutch Land Registry reveals a purchase price of €105 mln.
The property was built in 2022 and consists of four units, of which three are let to fashion chain Primark while the fourth is leased to AS Watson, owner of brands such as ICI Paris XL and Kruidvat.
The warehouse holds BREAAM Excellent certification and an A++++ energy label.
Segro said the acquisition strengthens its presence in the southern Netherlands, in a region regarded as logistics hotspot where the firm bought a 98,000 m² logistics site (in Eindhoven), a 37,800 m² new-built warehouse (in Heerlen) and a 36,500 m² logistics facility (in Tilburg) this summer.
‘After our previous acquisitions of high-quality warehouses in North Brabant and Limburg earlier this year, this purchase underscores our belief that the southern Netherlands is an important logistics market,’ said Eelco Ouwerkerk, head of the Netherlands at Segro.
Segro was advised on the deal by JLL, SGS Search and law firm Stibbe, while Weerts Group was assisted by GT Law.
