Sabadell's Solvia sells €200m of hospital properties

Banco Sabadell's Solvia property arm has sold a portfolio of three hospital properties in Barcelona, Bilbao and San Sebastian to local Spanish billionaire Carmen Godia for around €200 mln.

The assets are all leased to operator Quironsalud, part of German group Fresenius, under long-term lease contracts.

In a statement, Solvia said that the assets were sold in a bidding process and that they received strong interest both from local as well as from international investors

The hospital in Barcelona was build in 2006 and recently refurbished. It provides 187 beds.

The Quirón Vizcaya hospital near Bilbao offers 110 rooms while the San Sebastian property includes a total of 60 beds.
