Roland Berger takes 5% stake in Domicil Real Estate

Management consultant Roland Berger has taken up a 5% stake in Domicil Real Estate through his investment company Roland Berger Industries GmbH.

The seller of the shares is the majority shareholder and CEO Khaled Kaissar. In addition, Berger will also become a member of the Domicil advisory board, acting as a consultant to the board of management of Domicil.

‘Both institutional investors and private investors continue to appreciate the significance of residential real estate as a crisis-proof investment. We are pleased that we are able to welcome a further renowned anchor investor in Prof. Berger. We regard this as confirmation of the success of our business model. With this participation we are hoping to see further strategic strengthening of our market-leading position in the creation of attractive investment opportunities for investors in the resilient and affordable living segment,’ said Khaled Kaissar, CEO of Domicil Real Estate.

‘Domicil has an excellent positioning in a highly relevant market with its business model. The simplification of the acquisition and management of residential properties offers considerable opportunities for the owners and naturally also for the further growth of Domicil. In addition to the personal qualities of the company’s founder, I was impressed in particular by the strong orientation to quality, customer benefits and customer satisfaction, as well as the quality of the management,’ commented Roland Berger.

Alongside the founder and majority shareholder Khaled Kaissar and the new shareholder Roland Berger, the two insurance companies Die Bayerische and Konzern Versicherungskammer hold a stake in Domicil totaling around 15 % of the share capital.

Based in Munich, Domicil Real Estate was founded in 2009 by Khaled Kaissar and now operates throughout Germany with 115 employees and a focus on residential real estate.
