German property giant Patrizia has appointed Eduardo de Roda as country manager Iberia.
Based in the company’s Madrid office, de Roda, with a team of eight, has been tasked with running Patrizia’s Iberian operations, which currently comprises some €1 bn of assets under management across Spain and Portugal.
'I am delighted that with our new Country Manager Iberia, Eduardo de Roda, now in place, we have appointed someone with an outstanding calibre and track record to lead the business in its next phase,' said Klaus Schmitt, chief governance, risk and operating officer (COO) at Patrizia.
'With Eduardo on board in this key leadership role, we are now in a very strong position to open the next chapter in our growth story in the Iberian peninsula,' Schmitt added.
With over 17 years of experience in the Iberian real estate market, de Roda joined Patrizia in 2010. Since then he has been responsible for the acquisition and sales programme across the region. A graduate of Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros (CUNEF) in Madrid, he also worked at Unibail Rodamco Westfield’s Spanish investment team and Sonae Sierra before that.
Patrizia has been active in the Iberian market since 1986 and its office was established in 1999. The firm said it had transacted over €310 mln in volume across all asset classes and investment profiles, from core to value add, in the last twelve months since November 2018.
