Paris offices set to become luxury hotel

An office property in central Paris is to be converted into the first Mandarin Oriental hotel in the French capital, property company Societe Fonciere Lyonnais(SFL) announced on Friday. The 150-room luxury hotel is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2010 and will be run by Mandarin Oriental under a 12-year renewable lease. The hotel will be located at 247-252 rue Saint Honore, which currently comprises 22,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of office and retail space in the 1st arrondissement between Place Vendome and the Tuileries Gardens. The architect for the building is Jean-Michel Wilmotte.
