Swedish private equity firm Niam has acquired a residential portfolio in Denmark.
The vendor in the transaction was Omnia Invest A/S, which is owned by Morten Hansen. Financial details were not disclosed.
The portfolio comprises 238 modern, terraced houses totalling around 23,000 m2 near to Vejle, Denmark.
Niam took ownership of the first 110 houses on 1 April. The remaining 128 homes are under construction and set for completion over the next two years.
Michael Berthelsen, country manager at Niam, said: ‘We are very pleased to have acquired the residential units in Tirsbæk Bakker. With a beautiful nature and proximity to Vejle, we think that they are a great addition to our portfolio of affordable housing.’
Nordic investor Niam has around €3.2 bn AUM in northern Europe. In October last year, the company purchased 300 resi units in Denmark.
