Spanish hotel operator Meliá Hotels has agreed to sell three hotels in Seville, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Fuerteventura to the REIT Atom Hoteles for a total of just over €73 mln.
Meliá will continue to operate the assets for a five-year period and has the possibility to extend the lease four times.
As part of the agreement, Atom has committed to invest around €2 mln in capex to reposition the assets.
Three separate jumbo loans - from banks, a new non-bank lender and the debt capital markets - show finance markets are in good health.
