Mayfair Capital appoints head of international business development

Mayfair Capital Investment Management - part of Swiss Life Asset Management - has appointed Matt Dimond as managing director of international business development.

Dimond joins from InfraRed Capital Partners in London, having previously divided his career between Europe and Asia with roles at Macquarie Capital, GE and UBS Warburg. He brings broad experience in fund-raising, transaction advisory work and principal investment across real assets.

'We are delighted to have secured Matt for this important role. London remains the entry point for international investors into the UK and Europe and, in due course, Matt will build a team around him,' said James Thornton, chief executive of Mayfair Capital.

This new appointment follows Swiss Life’s acquisition of Mayfair Capital in November 2016 and reflects the group’s ambition to grow third-party real estate assets on a pan-European basis. Dimond will join the pan-European product development board of the business and Mayfair Capital’s management board.

'I am excited to be joining Mayfair Capital and Swiss Life Asset Managers,' said Dimond. 'The combined business has exceptional domain strengths across key European real estate markets. I look forward to working with the team on bringing the group’s expertise to international investors seeking attractive returns from well-managed real estate investments.'
