Luxembourg-based Maastricht One Properties has acquired the former DSM-Firmenich headquarters in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
The seller is Cinema Maastricht Beherend Vennoot, a partnership involving developers Edge and 3W.
The purchase price amounts to €46 mln (excluding VAT), according to documents filed with the Dutch Land Registry.
The property includes the main building at Sint Maartenslaan 26 and adjacent plots on Wilhelminasingel 39 and 39A, in the Wyck neighbourhood of Maastricht.
Nutrition, health, and beauty product supplier DSM, previously headquartered in Heerlen, relocated to Maastricht in 2022 following its merger with Swiss company Firmenich. The company occupied a newly developed, highly sustainable office building of approximately 6,700 m2, completed this spring.
The building, formerly a Euroscoop cinema and national monument, was redeveloped by Edge and 3W. It was the first renovated national monument in the Netherlands to achieve a Paris-Proof status, with a minimal operational carbon footprint and is both BREAAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum certified.
