European shopping centre specialist Klépierre has appointed Christophe Remillieux as group tax officer.

Remillieux brings 15 years of experience in fiscal matters relating to real estate, the firm said.

He began his career as a tax lawyer with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer before moving to Baker & McKenzie, where for seven years he advised many real estate players on their acquisitions, disposals and restructuring projects.

In 2010, Remillieux joined Ivanhoé Cambridge as tax director for Europe, where he supported the growth of the European portfolio of the real estate subsidiary of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ).

Age 41, Remillieux is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
