German investment and asset manager KGAL has appointed a new head of international institutional business, as part of an international growth strategy.

Christian Schulte Eistrup joins the company from Optimum Asset Management.

KGAL is seeking to expand its business across all asset classes, the company said. Last year, the firm completed transactions totalling €1.9 bln, managing investments of €20.5 bln.

Welcoming the appointment, Florian Martin, who sits on KGAL’s group executive committee, said: ‘We believe Christian’s experience globally will play a vital role as we continue to pursue our international development strategy and seek to expand our relationships with leading institutional asset owners and consultants.’

Schulte Eistrup said: ‘I look forward to building on the recent successes in KGAL’s international expansion, in particular by leveraging the deep asset class expertise of our in-house transaction, portfolio and asset management teams.’
