Property advisor JLL has appointed Andrew Mercer to the new role of head of energy services in the UK as part of the firm’s upstream sustainability services team.
Mercer will be responsible for developing and building on existing JLL energy and sustainability programmes, to provide clients with an extensive range of energy management services.
He joins from CBRE, where he was director of energy services and led a number of commercial, manufacturing and pharmaceutical energy programmes and projects across EMEA.
Commenting on his appointment, Mercer said: ‘Globally, energy and sustainability is increasingly under the public spotlight and has become a key focus for businesses. It is important that developers, occupiers and investors are able to engineer sustainable real estate solutions. I am excited to begin working across the range of inspiring projects currently being handled by JLL, and deliver services that drive real performance improvements for our clients.’
