Ivanhoé Cambridge hires LaSalle IM's Habra as head of Europe

Canadian investor Ivanhoé Cambridge has announced the appointment of Karim Habra as head of Europe, effective in early July.

Habra, who will be based in Paris, will be responsible for the European platform of Ivanhoé Cambridge, the real estate subsidiary of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.

He joins from LaSalle Investment Management, where he served for six years as managing director of Central Europe, managing director of France and head of continental Europe.

Habra began his career with GE Real Estate in 1998, and was given responsibility for its Central European operations in 2003, before joining JER Partners in 2008 as managing director, European Funds.
