Echo Polska bolsters retail asset management team

Echo Polsksa Properties (EPP), the REIT-like listed vehicle that is transitioning to a pure retail property player in Poland, has unveiled a new asset management team.

The new hires will handle all portfolio and asset management functions, including the commercialisation and re-commercialisation of available space.

EPP has said it will support tenants to improve their turnover and financial results. The team is tasked with launching an innovative asset management system which will modernise, and improve the tenant mix at EPP’s various malls. The team will also offer financial, technical and administrative support in all areas in order to enhance the operations of the assets.

'At EPP, cooperation with tenants does not end with signing a lease and collecting the rent,' said Marek Gladki, leasing & asset management department director at EPP. 'We want to be a trusted partner who is deeply involved with his clients’ issues; who is interested in their needs and meets their expectations,' he added.

Gladki (pictured) joined EPP in September this year to lead the team. Prior to this, he was director of the shopping centre commercialisation and the marketing department at Echo Investment, the listed Polish real estate developer and investor.

EPP is a spin-off built around Echo Investments income-producing assets. EPP, which is registered in the Netherlands and listed in Amsterdam and Johannesburg, announced earlier this year that it was selling off its office holdings to focus on owning and managing shopping centres.

His colleagues who will all work as assets managers includes Marta Kusiak, who has more than 10 years of experience in working for tenants. She was responsible for expansion of such brands as New Look Poland, Takko, and IC Companys; Anna Piotrowska who worked for Multi Development, JLL, and Apsys; Jakub Ociepka who worked for Multi Development, Neinver, Colliers International, and IKEA, as well as Marcin Ziólkowski who worked for various shopping centres located across Poland.

EPP (Echo Polska Properties) is a Dutch dual listed real estate investment company that follows the REIT formula, investing in retail properties throughout Poland. The current portfolio comprises 14 retail projects, six offices, and two retail development sites in Warsaw.
