Berlin Hyp finances Berlin resi portfolio with €240m loan

German lender Berlin Hyp has provided an investment loan of €240 mln to investor Heimstaden Bostad to refinance a portfolio of residential assets in Berlin.

The 10-year loan facility is secured against a total of 63 fully rented properties with a total rental area of around 138,100 m2.

The assets are located across the districts of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, Lichtenberg, Mitte, Neukölln, Pankow, Reinickendorf, Spandau, Steglitz-Zehlendorf, Tempelhof-Schöneberg and Treptow-Köpenick, with the majority of the buildings  constructed around the turn of the century.
