BNP Paribas Real Estate has been selected to provide property management services in eight countries on behalf of fund and asset manager Pradera, comprising some 25 retail parks and shopping centres.
The pan-European mandate, which includes properties anchored by Ikea, increases BNP Paribas' managed portfolio of 38 million m2 by more than 540,000 m2.
In March, Pradera acquired 25 Ikea centres located in eight European countries, including ten retail parks in Germany, four retail parks in Poland, plus one retail park and two shopping centres in France.
'We are delighted to have completed the first phase of this landmark deal, which builds on our 17-year track record of success in managing retail investments across Europe. Having done so, we are pleased to bring in BNP Paribas Real Estate to provide property management services on this portfolio,'said Roberto Limetti, head of European property at Pradera.
