BNP Paribas REIM completes €4.8b of European property deals in 2017

BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management achieved a record high transaction volume of €4.8 bn in 2017.

The transaction activity consisted of €3.5 bn of acquisitions and €1.3 bn of disposals. BNP Paribas REIM is mainly invested in offices (61%), followed by retail (17%), residential (9 %), mixed buildings (5%), and other asset classes such as technical, healthcare, hotel and leisure (8%). 

Covering eight European countries, Paris-based BNP Paribas REIM saw inflows of over €3.1 bn in 2017: €1.7 bn new cash achieved in funds and €1.4 bn in separate accounts/mandates.

At the end of the year, BNP Paribas REIM managed €27.4 bn of assets in Europe (+€3.3 bn versus 2016): €12 bn in France; €5.2 bn in Italy; €5 bn in Germany; €3.6 bn in the Benelux and €1.6 bn in other countries. Some 75% of investors in BNP Paribas REIM’s funds are institutional investors.
