BNP Paribas Asset Management appoints new head of real estate debt

The head of BNP Paribas Asset Management’s real estate debt investment has left the group.

Philippe Deloffre has departed after three years at the French bank subsidiary where he was hired from Acofi to set up a new debt fund

He has been replaced by Christophe Montcerisier, who has been deputy head of the debt business since 2019 when he joined from Société Générale.

Prior to Société Générale, he was head of business development at GE Capital Real Estate, following a stint of more than eight years at RBS where he headed the real estate finance team in Paris.

Laurent Gueunier, head of real assets, SME lending and structured Finance at BNPP AM, said: “Christophe has a dynamic approach and a mindset that is perfectly in line with our values.  He brings his extensive expertise of the real estate debt sector and a strong European network that will enable us to further develop this booming business, one of the five strategic skills for BNPP AM.”
