Arctic Securities SPV snaps up Oslo portfolio for €155m

Norwegian investment bank Arctic Securities has acquired a mixed-use portfolio in Lillestrøm near Oslo from Norwegian commercial property firm Obos Eiendom for NOK 1.6 bn (€155 mln).

The collection of assets includes a multi-tenant office property with ground floor retail and parking facilities, a hotel property and multiple smaller office and retail properties.

The buyer is a special purpose vehicle originated by Arctic Securities, with the hotel already earmarked for sale to Storebrand Eiendomsfond Norge.

The portfolio, named Portalen, is an urban development project completed in 2018, situated next to Lillestrøm station.

According to the vendor, the scheme has proved successful in attracting a mix of public and private tenants, the Nordic hotel operator Scandic, plus a range of urban floor F&B and retail tenants. The initial project also included 144 apartments sold in the open market.

Akershus Eiendom acted as sole transaction manager.
