Weekly data sheet: Plum London life sciences site comes to market

A 4-acre, freehold site at Kings Cross in the capital’s Knowledge Quarter is expected to attract international interest.

Royal Mail has appointed CBRE to sell what is one of the last major land parcel’s in the area, near the new London BioScience Centre and the Francis Crick Insititute. There is likely to be interest from across sectors, CBRE said.

Among new funds launched is a Schroders Capital’s global vehicle designed for retail as well as institutional investors which will mix direct property with debt and real estate stocks. Schroders said the fund would 'democratise' real estate, a private asset class.

The largest deal was the €1.4 bn exclusivity agreement signed by Primonial Reim to acquire a 64% stake in French Reit Icade’s European healthcare portfolio, to fulfil its ambition to significantly raise its exposure to the sector.
