Skanska invests €46m in new Polish office scheme

International construction and development firm Skanska is investing €46 mln in a new office project located in Wroclaw, Poland, dubbed Nowy Targ.

The seven-story building will have a total leasable area of about 22,000 m2, with two levels below ground for parking lots.

Located by a square near the Old Town in Wroclaw, the project is expected to qualify for LEED Platinum and the 'Building without barriers' certification.

Nowy Targ is Skanska’s sixth office development project in Wroclaw.

Construction is due to start in June 2017, and is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2019.

Beyond the Nordics, Skanska is currently developing commercial properties in select local markets in Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania and Hungary, and residential developments in Prague and Warsaw.

In 2016, Skanska had sales of SEK 36 bn (€3.7 bn) and about 16,500 employees in its European operations.
