Pandemic fall-out and climate change top Expo agenda

Expo Real director Claudia Boymanns highlights the consequences of the pandemic and climate change as two key topics at the top of the fair’s conference programme agenda.

Helaba’s chief economist and head of research, Gertrud Traud, gives the keynote speech today at 10.00 CET, followed by a panel discussion asking what the pandemic has changed.

The event’s Planning & Partnerships Forum will zoom closer into the sectors. In particular this year, says Boymanns, these presentations ‘will take a detailed look at the effects on the individual asset classes healthcare, hotels and logistics.’

Logistics companies feature prominently around the halls this year. The specialists taking stands include: CTP, Garbe, Logicor, Mileway, P3 Logistics Parks, Panattoni, Segro and Verdion.

Climate change and the industry’s response is another key session happening on Monday. Both this, the opening keynote, and many others are being live-streamed - so you don’t have to be at Messe Munich to watch.

ESG will be thoroughly discussed in events spanning the three days of the show, ‘including the changed requirements for companies due to the EU ESG guidelines’, Boymanns says.

In the Real Estate Innovation Forum, innovative approaches to solutions for today‘s challenges will be on the agenda alongside proptech start-ups, which again have a special exhibition space in the Tech Alley.
