Inteco presented a number of other large-scale multipurpose projects at EXPO REAL, saying the credit crisis will have no effect on its current development schedule. A number of major Russian developers such as Mirax Group have recently announced postponements of projects until the financial crisis subsides. Inteco is owned by Elena Baturina, wife of Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov, and estimated to be the country’s richest woman.
Fusion Park is Inteco’s 95,927 m2 multi-purpose site which features a museum of automobiles called Autoville. The museum was presented in early September and is due to open shortly. Moscow Park is a 75,000 m2 office, hotel and entertainment complex currently being built in the Kazakh capital of Astana. Also in the pipeline is the massive 700,000 m2 Cosmo Park to be built in western Moscow. Characterised by futuristic dome-like buildings the project aims to achieve high ecological standards suitable to the Setun-river park territory it is being built on.
