Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva, has strengthened its real estate capabilities with the appointment of Tim Russell as senior fund manager.
Reporting to Imogen Ebbs, head of UK Funds, Real Estate, at Aviva Investors, he will oversee the asset manager’s Unit-Linked property funds.
Russell has 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, during which time he has covered all areas of fund and asset management; from origination, structuring and financing, to developing and managing. He joins Aviva Investors from Global Gate Capital where he spent the previous five years as a director, establishing the London office and leading its UK Real Estate team. Prior to Global Gate Capital, he spent eight years at Legal & General Investment Management working across fund and asset management of UK commercial real estate.
The hire is the latest in a series of appointments across Aviva Investors’ Real Estate business, including the recent appointments of Edmond de Fels, Lise Marbach Deguine and Theophile Perrin to its Paris-based European Real Estate team, as the business continues to grow its real estate platform across the UK and Europe.
