Celebrate 10 years of Real Estate Excellence with PropertyEU

Thank you to all our readers for the enormous response to The Deal of the Decade Awards. The interest has been such that we will mark the awards with a special dinner celebrating the last decade in European real estate and your successes over the past 10 years.

The Deal of the Decade Awards will be held in London on the evening of 26th April at Banqueting House in London. The awards will recognise the landmark deals that have shaped the European real estate industry over the 10 years since PropertyEU was launched.

Innovative and Groundbreaking
The most innovative and groundbreaking deals are represented in the shortlist. Between now and MIPIM, our expert judges will select the very best of these deals in each category and then you, our readers, get your opportunity to make your vote count. The Reader’s Vote begins on March 14th, the opening day of MIPIM.

Nominations were invited from across the industry in the following categories:

* Retail & leisure
* Logistics 
* Residential 
* Portfolio
* Debt 
* Newcomer 
* Development 
* Corporate deal 
* Editor's choice

The overall Deal of the Decade award will be chosen by a Readers' Vote 

Celebrating Achievement & Excellence

Nominations for the Deal of the Decade had to meet criteria so that only the outstanding deals were included:

• Innovative and effective in terms of the transaction or investment structure
• Transformational for the buyer or seller
• A game changer for the broader European real estate industry

The following types of deal were eligible:
* direct investment transactions, share deals, club deals, JVs and other corporate structures
* single asset and portfolio transactions
* deals in a single country or multiple countries
* deals in all real estate asset classes

The judging process

Stage 1: Shortlist Announced

Over 200 nominations were reviewed by the PropertyEU research and editorial teams. The shortlist for each of the 10 categories was published on 20th December in PropertyEU Magazine.

Stage 2: Jury Vote

A jury made up of leading industry figures will select the three finalists in each category based on a vote. To ensure complete transparency and independence, jury members are not able to vote on any deals in which they or their firm have been involved.
The finalists and winners of each category will be announced in the MIPIM issue of PropertyEU Magazine, published 14th March 2017.

Stage 3: Your Vote

On 14th March 2017 the Readers' Vote will be officially opened at MIPIM 2017. Every registered reader, in Europe and around the globe, will receive a vote to decide the overall winner of the Deal of the Decade from the winners of the 10 categories. Your chance to vote for the deal that you think deserves the title of Deal of the Decade.
